The Courage is a one man band based in Stockholm. Jesper Jonsson writes, performs and produces. The first album was released in 2010. Since then Jesper has had different projects as a drummer but has now found the time to write new songs. Parasols took off on Spotify after release 2018 and passed 100 000 streams early 2019.

Being a drummer, Jespers hallmark is using rythm. Not only in drumming but also in his vocals and all other parts. To him rythm and melody are all the same. Melodies can be rythmic and rythms can be melodic.

The themes of the lyrics are often fear. Fear is a big part of our lives. All of our concerns comes from fear. Whether it’s fear of change, fear of failiure or fear of death it self. Hence The Courage. The Courage to face your fears.
